  • The Court Assistance Program provides Civil Claims Duty Counsel and the Queen’s Bench Court Assistance Program (Amicus) in both Calgary and Edmonton.
  • Under the Civil Claims Duty Counsel program, anyone can receive 30 minutes of free legal advice. It is available on a first come first serve basis, but there is no limit to the number of times you can use the service. This program is available in Edmonton on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • They do not provide advice with respect to family, criminal or company law matters.
  • Under the Amicus program in Edmonton, they provide support for applications made in Masters’ chambers and QB courts on Wednesday mornings.
