ELLA Membership

An ELLA membership is open to anyone who works in or is interested in law librarianship. The annual membership year runs from September 1 to August 31.

Membership Directory

The Membership Directory lists the names and contact information of members who have signed up or renewed their membership by November 30 and have opted to be included in it. The Directory is available to members only and is password protected. To change your option to be included in the directory and/or to receive the current password, please email ellaexec @ gmail.com.

Membership Renewal & New Members

Annual renewal for Active, Affiliate, and Student memberships opens September 1 of each year. New members are welcome to join at any time throughout the year.

To renew your membership or to join, please fill out and submit the 2021/2022 Membership Form.

Membership Types

Active
Living or working in Edmonton who has an official connection to a law or legislative library or comparable organization
Voting rights, can hold office, $25/year

Affiliate
Living in Alberta but not actively engaged in law library work
Voting rights, can hold office, $25/year

Student
Enrolled in library or records management post-secondary studies;
Voting rights, can hold office, free.

Honourary Lifetime
For significant contributions to the Association, conferred by nomination and voting affirmation of 75% of voting members;
Voting rights, can hold office, free.
