Black History Month

February is Black History Month, which, as stated on the Canada Heritage website, “gives all the opportunity to engage in open dialogue and a commitment to learning more about the stories black communities in Canada have to tell about their histories, success, sacrifices and triumphs.”

Edmonton Public Library, in connection with the Edmonton Short Film Festival, is putting on a Local Heroes Film Festival with Black History Month on Thursday February 23rd – you can read more, and register, here.
