Alberta Law Libraries closing

Alberta Law Libraries (ALL) take our role in minimizing the spread of infection from the coronavirus (COVID-19) seriously.  For the safety of our team, our library members and indeed all Albertans that we serve, we have closed our public facing library locations to visitors.  Our team members continue to monitor telephone, email and our Ask a Law Librarian service however, and so as always, remain committed to assisting and connecting you with the legal information and services you need.

Registered members can also continue to access some of our eResources remotely, and use our customized research and document request services.  We understand that despite having a selection of electronic tools and resources available remotely, access to our print collection and on-site only tools may also be required.  To address this fact, registered members can contact us (lawlibrary@just.gov.ab.ca) to discuss the delivery of materials through electronic means.  In addition, due to current circumstances, we will wave the usual document delivery fees associated with this service until our libraries are physically open once more.  Note that book borrowing remains suspended however, as is the ability to put holds on items.   Lastly, any items that members have on loan during the closure period will have their overdue dates extended and fees waived.

We thank you for your patience and understanding, and we ask that you do visit our website for additional information and updates.

Regards,
-Dale
